WHAT IS CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY?

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on technique, developed by an osteopathic physician, Dr William G. Sutherland, almost a hundred years ago. You might think of it as a cross between chiropractic or osteopathic manoeuvres and hands-on energy healing.

By gently working with the spine, the head, diaphragms and fascia, the restrictions of nerve passages are eased, the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spinal cord is optimized and misaligned bones are restored to their proper position. Craniosacral therapists use the therapy to treat mental stress, neck and back pain, migraines, TMJ Syndrome, and for chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia.

Craniosacral Therapy deals  efficiently with trauma that a person cannot speak of or prefer not to speak of. It can sometimes be too scary to talk about difficult things and craniosacral can help process challenges in our past, through the body and nervous system, without the need of revisiting them.

Craniosacral therapy is also particularly beneficial for babies, preferably with treatment beginning shortly after birth.
