Friday 25th - Sunday 27th October 9 - 4.30pm.

Each day will begin with a broad and full 2 hour practice of pranayama, kriyas, asana and meditation practice.
We will then cover the following in a series of workshops that aim to inspire your practice and love of yoga as well as your teaching. Deepen your theoretical knowledge, learn new techniques and skills for your regular classes, and develop your skill and own unique style as a teacher.

Intelligent sequencing
Learn how to sequence postures to enhance your students experience. Revive your class sequences with the balance of logic and creativity. The art of layering up postures for accessibility.
Enhance your confidence in teaching poses.

Adjusting and assisting students
A practical workshop to revive your hands on skills Introduction to meridian theory and energy medicine. Marma and acupressure points and their indications. Useful and accessible pressure points applied to savasana.
A brief historical overview of some main schools of meditation
The origins of some of the main schools/systems of meditation. The techniques commonly used by the different schools.
The roots of mindfulness.The science of meditation. Meditation tools and techniques
Why we might learn meditation from a single school OR
why we might borrow techniques from various schools.
Practical explorations of different meditation techniques.
Designing and delivering a 10 minute meditation focusing on using a single technique we have addressed.
Exploring Sanskrit
The pronunciation of the Sanskrit alphabet. Introduction to the Shanti Mantras - Vedic chanting.

Meet the teachers
Lisa Roberts BSc Hons, MBAcC and Senior Registered Yoga teacher.
Lisa has been teaching yoga for over 20 years first beginning her studies with internationally renowned yoga teacher Bridget Woods Kramer in Cornwall in 2004. She teaches with passion and knowledge for yogas ability to restore health and foster peace and happiness. She is known for her love of optimal alignment whilst making yoga inclusive for all. She has taught many workshops and regularly offers retreats both in the UK and abroad. She also has degrees in global development and Chinese Medicine with a specialism in gynaecology, fertility and obstetric acupuncture.

Amy Hughes SYT Yoga Alliance BSc Hons Literature BA Hons MA Philosophy
Amy began teaching as an Anusara Yoga Teacher – a Vinyasa style – under the close tutelage of Bridget Woods-Kramer (Triyoga, London) in 2005.She then became an Ashtanga practitioner in 2008. She studied and teacher trained with John Scott as an Ashtanga Teacher and continues to assist him when he is in the UK. Her extensive trainings in two styles inform her teaching, teaching both Ashtanga Mysore and Led classes in the traditional method devised by Sri K Pattabhi Jois and vinyasa classes.
Amy enjoys teaching yoga philosophy and the history of Modern Postural Yoga alongside the Asana, Pranayama and Meditation training. She inspires students with her a vast knowledge of philosophy and Sanskrit and impressive arm balances!

Course fee: £295.00. £150 deposit with the balance due by 1st September 2024.
All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
