Hunger Hill Yurt Holidays and Hunger Hill Retreat cater for residential retreats and quiet family holidays. We are not a party venue. Sound travels a long way in the countryside at night. In consideration to fellow visitors and distant neighbour’s we request that noise must be kept to a minimum in the evenings. No amplified music, drumming, shouting or rowdiness. We ask that groups pay special attention to this. If this restriction might limit your requirements then please do not book.
Animals. Hunger Hill is a smallholding so there are animals around. Please always ensure you and your children wash your hands after touching them. Sorry, but we don't allow dogs or other pets on site.
We do our very best to provide a safe environment. Please be responsible for your children's safety at all times. Especially around hot stoves and camp fires. Please ensure that the axes are put on top of the wood shed after use. Please keep fires small and manageable. Please do not bring candles or oil lamps to light in the yurts or marquee. Only use what is provided.
Arrival. Your Yurt is available from 4pm on the day of your arrival. It is not possible to have access to the site before 4pm. If you plan to arrive after 8pm then please let us know - thanks. On arrival please ensure you read the'Maintenance & Safety' notice hanging in the Yurt. All Yurts are non-smoking. Please always remove outdoor foot wear before entering the Yurt.
Departure. On the day of your departure please leave the site before 11am. The kitchen and toilet block will not be available after 10.45am. You are kindly asked to leave everything in a clean and tidy condition. Thank you.
Bookings. Bookings are only secure on receipt of your non returnable deposit or payment in full and completed booking information requested. Your balance is due 8 weeks prior to your visit. We reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain the deposit if full settlement of the invoice has not been made within 14 days of your balance due date.
Group Bookings. The organiser of a group booking is responsible for completing the group’s details on the booking form and for coordinating all deposits and balance payments. All bookings. It is a condition of your booking that the total number in your party should not exceed the capacity of the Yurt as advertised and should correspond with your booking form.
Cancellation Telephone us immediately if you have to cancel. If cancellation is 8 weeks + prior to your stay and we are unable to re sell your booking in full you will forfeit the deposit only. Cancel 8 weeks or with in and you will be held responsible for the prompt payment of the full cost of the holiday or retreat. We advise you to take out cancellation insurance.
Lost property. Any property left behind will be returned by post on request only. All lost property will be kept until the end of the season and then disposed of.
Wheelchair / Disabled Persons. If you have a person in your party with any special requirements, please tell us at the time of booking, and state it on you booking form, as only certain Yurts are suitable.
Serious accidents. We cannot accept liability for any personal injury loss or damage which may be sustained by your party or their guest or their property during your stay at Hunger Hill Yurt Holidays except where it arises from the negligence or wilful default on our part. You will be held responsible for any serious damage done or loss sustained to property during your stay.
